In Her Garden By Bonnie Waters ©2000 She painted with flowers, with shadow and sunlight, With color and texture, with water and stone, On an ever-changing canvas of rich earth and living things, When she’s in her garden, she is at home. When you walk through her garden gate, you cast off your worries, To the music of wind chimes, you leave your burdens behind, She creates with her artistry, a place of tranquility, To soothe any spirit and bring peace of mind. With her grandmother’s roses, and her mother’s Sweet William, And her sister’s yellow iris, that still bloom though she’s gone. With sky-blue delphiniums, and perfumed pink peonies, When she’s in her garden, she is at home. She fashions a haven of blossoms and green leaves, Of fountains, and waterfalls, that quiet the soul. Of sweet-scented fragrance, and every earthly delight, When she’s in her garden, she is at home. With her grandmother’s roses, and her mother’s Sweet William, And her sister’s yellow iris, that still bloom though she’s gone. With scented verbena, and climbing blue clematis. When she’s in her garden, she is at home. A small bit of heaven, where she is at home.

METAMORPHOSIS by Bonnie Waters© 2000 There’s a strange alchemy going on within me There’s something happening to me A new dream is beckoning in my veins, all through me There’s a change beginning to be There’s an awakening from this skin breaking free I feel myself unfolding, unfolding I feel the sun on me, I see wondrous beauty Can this new being be me? My heart is quickening, I feel myself rising The wind is lifting me, lifting me, I believe, I can fly I-I-I can fly, I can fly-y, I can fly-y-y-y

Raindrops 03:53
Raindrops By Bonnie Waters ©2000 Raindrops are falling on my window Sounding like wheatfields when the wind blows, Memories are calling, and the rain keeps falling just like teardops. Teardrops are falling on my pillow, So many feelings I can’t let go. So many good times that we spent together, I remember them all. We were always chasing rainbows, But I know into each life a little rain must fall. Sometimes I give in and let myself feel sad when I think of you, But I know that you’d remind me, before too long, the sun will come shining through. Raindrops are falling on my window, Ghosts of what once was move like shadows, I’m under the weather, but soon I’ll feel better, when I picture you, Out there somewhere, smiling down on me like you used to do. Then I’ll remember that the summer rain makes the flowers grow. And it may come to mind that sunshine turns raindrops into rainbows. Raindrops into rainbows, raindrops into rai-ainbo-ows.

I WENT TO THE MOUNTAINS By Bonnie Waters © 2000 I went to the mountains, I went to the sea, I called to my true love…is he…calling to me? The path is uncertain but one Truth remains, When Love calls, we follow…we go, like moths to the flame. I went to the mountains, I went to the sea, I searched for my true love…is he…searching for me? Love is a power that won’t be denied, And Love, it will find you, from Love the heart cannot hide. I dreamed of the mountains, I dreamed of the sea, I dreamed of my true love…is he…dreaming of me? Love is…a fire…consuming the soul, It leaves no wall standing, through Love…we are made whole. I went to…the mountains, (the mountains) I went to… the sea, (to the sea) I went to… my true love (my true love)… and he… came to me…and he… came to me.

RIPPLES IN A POND By Bonnie Waters © 2000 Every day you plant a seed, you may not see how it grows, You travel on and someone else reaps what you have sown. If you stand at the water’s edge, and ever so gently drop a stone, Then you’ll see how the circles spread, the ripples travel on. Ooh-ooh-ooh, Ripples in a Pond, ooh, ooh, Echoes of a sound Ooh-ooh, Ripples in a pond, it travels on. Just one smile or one kind word, you may never know for sure, It travels on and then someday, kindness is returned. Every moment that you live, everything you say and do, Every bit of love you give, travels back to you. Ooh-ooh-ooh, Ripples in a Pond, ooh, ooh, Echoes of a sound Ooh-ooh, Ripples in a pond, it travels on. Everything connect to everything, everyone connects to everyone, Everything touches everything like the ripples in a pond. Ooh-ooh-ooh, Ripples in a Pond, ooh, ooh, Echoes of a sound Ooh-ooh, Ripples in a pond, it travels on it travels on, It travels on. Every day you plant a seed...

Spiritual Journey By Bonnie Waters © 2000 She saw the homeless young man, coming towards them, beggin’ from the crowds, With his hands outstretched, asking them for anything they could give him, The people she with just rolled their eyes and turned away, And kept on talkin’, as if he was invisible. While he shivered in his thin denim jacket – his face blue with cold. She reached into her pocket and pressed some change into his palm. She looked deep into his eyes and saw the spirit within him, And he seemed surprised to be recognized as human, o-oh. It’s a Spiritual Journey, that’s what we’re on. A Spiritual Journey, we’re all on a Spiritual Journey. There’s a woman in town, walks the streets night and day, She stops and watches cars go by, talkin’ to herself, can’t keep her hands still. Her boyfriend blew her mind on drugs, or so the story goes, She seems to be strugglin’ like there’s something she’s tryin’ to remember, Someplace she’s supposed to be, or maybe who she is, And people cross to the other side of the street, just to avoid her. What she really needs is for someone to take her by the hand, To say, “Hey, I know you, it’s gonna be alright, I understand.” O-oh. It’s a Spiritual Journey, that’s what we’re on. A Spiritual Journey, we’re all on a Spiritual Journey. Are we human beings on a Spiritual Journey? Or are we spiritual beings, on a human one? Oh, o-oh. Oh, o-oh. We’ve all got our worries, sometimes we think we can’t take anymore, How can anybody solve the problems of this world? Too many people with too many burdens to carry, And you just don’t know how to help them with their load. You don’t have a dime to spare, or time to stop and be friendly. Sometimes all you need to do is have compassion, For theirs are cautionary tales to harden not your hearts, And reminders that "there but for the Grace of God go I". It’s a Spiritual Journey, that’s what we’re on. A Spiritual Journey, we’re all on a Spiritual Journey. Are we human beings on a Spiritual Journey? Or are we spiritual beings, on a human one? Oh, o-oh. Oh, o-oh. Spiritual. Oh, o-oh. It’s a Spiritual Journey. Oh, o-oh. Take a Spiritual Journey. Oh, o-o-o-o-oh.

Life’s a Journey By Bonnie Waters ©2000 You got to do what you gotta do, you got to go where you gotta go You got to learn, what you gotta learn, and then you’ll know what you gotta know. And when your journey takes you far, then you’ll know who you really are. You got to take what you gotta take, you got to give what you gotta give, You got to find what you gotta find, you got to live what you gotta live, And when your journey takes you far, then you’ll know who you really are. I’ve been travelin’ and I’ve been wanderin’ and I’ve been searchin’, Yeah, Searchin’ this whole world round – this whole world round, Lookin’ for the answers that I still haven’t found, that I still haven’t found. I’ve been travelin’ and I’ve been wanderin’ and I’ve been searchin’, yeah, Searchin’ this whole world round – this whole world round, Lookin’ for the answers that I still haven’t found, that I still haven’t found. You got to try, you got to try to find a way, to take the time to pause and appreciate the day. You got to learn to maintain your spirit, come what may. You got to stop and enjoy the sights along the way. Don't you know it's not about the destination, it's about the Journey, it's about the Journey, yeah. You got to find what you gotta find, You got to see what you gotta see, You got to create what you gotta create, You got to be who you gotta be, And when your journey takes you, oh so far, then you’ll know who you really are. I’ve been travelin’ and I’ve been wanderin’ and I’ve been searchin’, yeah, Searchin’ this whole world round – this whole world round, Lookin’ for the answers that I still haven’t found, that I still haven’t found. I-I-I, I-I-I, I know, yes, I know, Life’s a journey, and I’m still learning.

I Don’t Understand © Bonnie Waters, 2000 I don’t understand How people who lived together in relative harmony So many years, suddenly can’t. I don’t understand How people can turn against each other over invisible Boundaries drawn upon the land. How did this ever come to be? How can they ever find their way Back to Peace? I don’t understand How people can tear apart their country, killing their neighbors Spilling their blood with their own hands. I don’t understand How people can be so brutal - Is there no limit to Man’s inhumanity to man? How can their hatred burn so deep? How can they ever find their way Back to Peace? It’s an old familiar story of how people can be led astray When a madman comes to power, You can only shake your head and say, I don’t understand I don’t understand How people can find a reason to justify any of This kind of madness. I don’t understand How people can be so heartless, to ransom the future of Their children’s happiness. How can they leave this legacy? A generation left to say, I don’t understand, I don’t understand I don’t understand, I don’t understand I don’t understand, I don’t understand I don’t understand, I just don’t understand I don’t understand.

Most of All, to Love Copyright 2000, Bonnie Waters When I first held you in my arms, my son, And dreamed of all the things I’d wish for you, I knew the day would come when you’d have grown, And thought about the words I’d say to you, And the best advice that I can give… Is, please my son, always remember this, To be good, to be kind, to respect your soul, your body and your mind, To work hard, to have fun, but most of all to love, most of all to love. Since that day I’ve watched as you have grown, Laughed with your laughter and dried your tears, And shared the joys and sorrows you have known, And helped you learn life’s lessons through the years, I’ve hoped and prayed for your happiness, So please, my son, always remember this, To be good, to be kind, to respect your soul, your body and your mind, To work hard, to have fun, but most of all to love, most of all to love Soon the day will come when you will go, A young man starting a life of your own, Answers to questions may be hard to find, And how to make the right choice – hard to know, But if you’re wondering how a man should live, Then please, my son, always remember this, To be good, to be kind, to respect your soul, your body and your mind, To work hard, to have fun, but most of all to love, just as much as you can, to love just as much as you can, and then, you will know what it means to be a man, To love, to love...to love, and to live, and to laugh and to learn. To love, to love, to love...and to live, and to laugh and to learn. And to love, to love, to lo-ove...Most of all, to love.

Beautiful Planet By Bonnie Waters ©2000 If you were ever standing on the moon, Looking back at this Beautful Planet, You could see just how rare and Wonderful it really is. Glowing like a precious jewel, In the sun’s reflected light, In incredible shades of blues and greens, With the white clouds swirling round, It would have to be the most Amazing sight you’d ever seen. And maybe then, you could truly understand When you’re back on Earth, standing on solid ground, This is the only place that we have to call “Home.” And you if you were a visitor, from a planet In some distant galaxy, Looking down on this Beautiful Planet, Wherever you were from, you would have to be moved by it’s Extraordinary beauty. You might wonder how it can be, That human beings sometimes fail to see, What a special place, what a treasure, it really is. And you might…you might recognize, The delicate balance and fragility, We will never have another place to call, “Home.” So if you are ever standing on the moon, Looking back at this...this Beautiful Planet, In all it’s glory, glowing in unbelievable shades of blues and greens, well, Maybe you can keep…keep that image in your mind, When you’re drawing your maps and planning where we’re going, We will never have another place, No, we’ll never have another place, We will never find a better place to call, “Home.” Mmmm...it's a Beautiful Planet, And we will never find a better place to call, "Home."

Hushabye 03:39
HUSHABYE By Bonnie Waters, 1998 Hushabye my darlin’, go to sleep my little one, Another sun is setting, another day is done. Close your eyes my darlin’, as the twilight gently falls, And I will rock you in my arms, while the nightingale sweetly calls. Chorus: There will be songs to sing, and many happy things in store for you, with the morning sun, And meanwhile there will be… dreams to dream before the morning comes, Before the morning comes. Hushabye my darlin’, go to sleep my precious one, Another moon is rising, another nighttime has begun. Close your eyes my darlin’, now the stars are in the sky, And I will hold you in my arms, and sing you this lullabye. Chorus: There will be songs to sing, and many happy things in store for you, with the morning sun, And meanwhile there will be… dreams to dream before the morning comes, Before the morning comes. Hushabye my darlin’, Hushabye my darlin’, Hushabye my darlin’,…Hushabye

These Mountains by Bonnie Waters (c)2000 These mountains I have seen, sunlit with bright morning mists below. These mountains I have known, blue-green and purple in evening shadow. These mountains I have felt surround me, standing silently, like poetry. These mountains I have seen, alight with color in autumn's show. These mountains I have known, stark white against blue sky, with winter snow. These mountains I have held within my heart and soul on my travels. These mountains I have seen, silhouetted dark against twilight's halo These mountains I have known, a silver mystery in moonglow. These mountains I have dreamed in dreams, and in my waking, been remininded how lucky! How lucky, that I am, to have these mountains, these mountains, These mountains.
